Know2Protect Program
Monday, January 27, 2025, 7:00 PM
Summit Middle School Auditorium
The Summit Safety Committee has teamed up with the National PAL, Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and the Summit Board of Education to bring you the Know2Protect Program!
The Know2Protect Program is a national public awareness campaign launched by DHS in April 2024, aimed at preventing and combating online child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSEA). This important session is designed to provide you with:
Prevention: Tools and strategies to help keep children and teens safe online.
Education: Awareness of the risks kids face in today’s digital world.
Reporting: How to recognize and report online enticement and victimization.
Support: Resources for victims, survivors, and their families.
A highlight of the program is Project iGuardian, where experts from Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) will share real-world case studies and actionable advice to help you protect your family.
This initiative is supported by partnerships with tech leaders like Google, Meta, Snap Inc., and Roblox, as well as national sports leagues, amplifying its reach across communities.
